What Google built this phone for

Released in late 2021, the Pixel 6 Pro was Google's flagship answer to one question: what happens when your camera is driven entirely by AI? It introduced the first-generation Google Tensor chip, bringing Magic Eraser, Real Tone photography and near-flagship image quality to a phone that costs a fraction of its launch price today. Google built it for buyers who want clean Android, outstanding cameras and a phone that works seamlessly with every Google service.

Camera system

The triple-camera system is the headline. A 50MP wide with OIS, a 48MP periscope telephoto with 4x optical zoom and OIS, and a 12MP ultrawide. Night Sight, Action Pan, Magic Eraser and Motion Mode are all available. 4K video on both front and rear. For photography-first buyers, this camera system still competes well above its refurbished price.

Display

6.7-inch LTPO AMOLED, 120Hz adaptive refresh, QHD+ resolution at 512ppi. The display is noticeably better than most phones in the refurbished mid-range. HDR10+ and up to 1000 nits brightness. The curved edge design is distinctive and premium-feeling.

Performance and battery

Google Tensor chip handles everyday tasks, AI photo processing and Google apps without breaking a sweat. 5003mAh battery with an 84-hour endurance rating. 23W wired charging and 23W wireless. Reverse wireless charging included. Note: charging speeds are modest compared to newer flagships.

Software and updates

Launched on Android 12, upgradable to Android 16. Guaranteed five years of major OS upgrades from launch. Updates are now in their final period. Factor this in if long-term software support is a priority.

Frequently Asked Questions

1- Is the Google Pixel 6 Pro still worth buying in 2026?
Yes, for the right buyer. The camera system, LTPO AMOLED display and 5G remain strong points. Software updates are in their final period, Android 16 will likely be the last major OS upgrade. If cameras and display quality are your priority and long-term update support is less critical, it remains outstanding refurbished value.

2- Does the Pixel 6 Pro support 5G in the UK?
Yes. It works on 5G across all major UK networks including EE, O2, Vodafone and Three.

3- Does it support Google Pay?
Yes. NFC is included and Google Pay works fully on all UK networks.

4- What is the battery health guarantee?
Every Mobitel device is tested and must pass a minimum 80% battery health check before dispatch. Devices that do not pass are either reconditioned or removed from sale.

5- Is it unlocked for all UK networks?
Yes. Every device is fully unlocked and works on EE, O2, Vodafone, Three, Sky Mobile, iD Mobile, Tesco Mobile, giffgaff and all other UK virtual networks.

6- How good are the cameras compared to newer phones?
The Pixel 6 Pro camera system especially Night Sight, portrait and zoom still competes with phones costing two to three times more in 2026. It is not as fast as Tensor Gen 3, but the output quality remains excellent for everyday photography.

7- Does it have wireless charging?
Yes. 23W wireless charging and reverse wireless charging are both included.

8- Is Grade B worth buying over Grade A?
For most buyers, yes. Grade B saves £15–30 and any cosmetic marks are typically micro-scratches on the rear or frame barely visible once in a case.
